Buret statement jewelry
Buret necklace expresses both rawness and elegancy, which gives an extra touch to your outfit. The pattern is inspired by the feeling of fear and geometry. The necklace is made either in Oslo or in Copenhagen dependent on which studio we are using.
In general our jewelry is designed to create minimal impact on our environment by using sustainable materials. We use recycled inner tubes from tires and nickel free metal chains. The use of recycled inner tubes is a conscious choice both regarding design, quality and our environment. When traveling back from Nepal to Scandinavia we put the used inner tubes in our luggage. In this way the material is not burned on the streets causing toxic gasses and pollution for the community. Instead reused and recycled safely.
Maintenance and care
In general, any type of metal jewelry should avoid contact with water. Therefore try to remember to take off the jewelry when washing hands, taking a bath or a swim, doing sports or physical activities, or going to sleep. Avoid perfume and lotion on your jewelry, and keep your jewelry separate by using jewelry boxes or bags. In this way scratching and damage is avoided.
If the black color of the recycled inner tube starts to fade you can always polish it using any type of vegetable oil (everything from olive oil to argan oil). Apply a drop of the oil on a piece of soft paper, or a cotton cloth, and polish.

Steps Foundation Nepal30% of the profits from the jewelry sold are channeled to a local NGO – Steps Foundation Nepal. The foundation was established in 2014 by Beni Ghale, a health worker, midwife, and a business entrepreneur who fights for gender equality and women’s rights in Nepal. The organization provides health education, washable sanitary pads for women in remote villages of Nepal, and teaches women about their legal rights.
